Doula Mentoring:
Our Doula Mentorship Program is designed to support newer doulas by giving them the opportunity to work with experienced doulas. Mentorship includes:
1) Matching newer doulas with experienced doulas for one on one consultations, over the phone and via email. New doulas can gain knowledgeable insight about the profession through personal conversations with their mentors.
2) Mentors will be available to answer questions new doulas may have about birth, hospital protocols, prenatal interviews, ethics, limits of practice, and effective communication skills.
3) Mentors will also be available postpartum to discuss the birth and any challenging issues the new doula may have encountered.
